Sadanand Dhume is dead on in his depiction of Indonesia’s escalating devotion for Islamist extremism (“Adultery in Aceh,” op-ed, Sept. 16). Whether it is stoning of women or bombing of innocent civilians, radical Islamists have it wrong. As a member of the Ahmadiyah Muslim community, I strongly condemn such flawed understandings of Islam that leave no room for diversity of thought. Hate groups will not bring down American spirit (The Baltimore Examiner)

As an American Muslim, I am compelled to speak out against two opposite and yet not too dissimilar groups (”Hate groups pose new security concerns for inauguration,” Jan. 13). One is the extremist Muslim cleric, who from outside our borders, threatens to harm American civilians. But the other is the white supremacist, usually belonging to a radical Christian brand, who, from within the confines of our own soil, plots to dispose of our incoming commander in chief, solely because he is African American.
